The Palace Theater is one of only twenty-three remaining John Eberson "Atmospheric" theaters left in the United States and is among his largest and most unusual Golden Era theaters. Built in 1928 as the Loews/United Artist for Vaudeville and movies, the Palace has been restored and serves as a multiuse entertainment center.

Explore the past era and view the celebrated ceiling where floating, moving clouds and twinkling stars grace the main theater. In the Grand Lobby, gaze upwards at the 139 busts representing some of our world's most historical figures. Rich in bas-relief statues, tapestries and marble, the Palace Theater is truly one of Louisville's finest and most elaborate interiors.
