Kentucky Smokin' Grill was started in 1973 as a family picnic for a 4th of July celebration. Over a period of about 10 years, their cookouts went from the family picnic, past the hobby stage, and into a part time business.

The original recipe, mixed and served on a Derby Day many years ago, it is the same that is in every bottle of their sauce.
