|
Another whimsical creation from Nick and Robert over at Hound Dog Press, this blank notecard features a rustic woodcut-style illustration of one of our local landmarks, the Belle of Louisville.
First put into service in 1914, the Belle came to Louisville in 1931 and over the years this steamboat has had various stints transporting cargo, passengers, and even served as a floating USO nightclub during World War II. She is said to hold the all-time record in her class for miles traveled, years in operation, and number of places visited.
Befitting the history on the exterior, this 4¼"x5½" card has been lovingly handprinted with vintage letterpress equipment by Hound Dog Press, a small but full service letterpress shop located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.
A blank envelope that matches the cardstock used is included.
