The Melrose Inn Restaurant, once located in Prospect , Kentucky, was the home of real Kentucky food. Each year Kentucky Derby guests arrived at the adjoining Melrose Inn Hotel and would gather each morning at the restaurant for "a real Kentucky breakfast" before going to Churchill Downs for the races. Many guests returned for years — a wonderful Kentucky tradition with many good memories.
This jar contains the mix for their Kentucky chocolate nut pie, along with their complete recipe. Just add eggs, butter, and vanilla and bake to perfection!
