The first Saturday in May draws the attention of the world to Churchill Downs in Louisville and to the Classic race — The Kentucky Derby. This the first leg to the Triple Crown of races and is dubbed the “most exciting two minutes in sports". The Derby continuously draws a full field of three-year-old Thoroughbreds plus a packed grandstand and infield to participate and witness this moment in racing history.
